Salinas full day and Lojen minivolcano

Description

After your pick up, we begin our journey to the Salinas Reserve, located at 4300 meters above sea level, between the Misti and Pichu Pichu volcanoes.
Our first stop will be at a small viewpoint where we can appreciate the scenic countryside of Chiguata, with the three volcanoes of Arequipa (Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu) in the background. We will then head to the main square of Chiguata village, where we can visit one of the oldest churches in Arequipa. Before heading towards the salt flat, we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to the Salinas Reserve, which will take about 1 hour. Once we arrive, we will appreciate the salt flat within the reserve, a vast area covered by a thin layer of salt (which, during the rainy season, turns into a beautiful mirror-like surface). We will also have the opportunity to see vicuñas walking across the salt flat, and we can take fun photos playing with perspectives created by the vast white landscape.
At the site, we can also enjoy activities such as quad biking and kayaking (depending on the season).
Next, we will visit the mini-volcano of Lojen and the Lojen thermal spring, where we can relax in the thermal waters for about an hour.
On our way back, we will have time for lunch, then continue our journey back to Arequipa, with our final stop being Main Square in Arequipa (a two-block walk from the square) at 05:00 pm.
